BJØRN HATLESKOG
Is a London-based artist. One half of dystopian acoustmatic spoken-word project Storyteller, has also released music under the moniker Romvelope.
His work is located somewhere between electro-acoustic music and sound sculptural bricolage. It explores the nature of feedback loops, noise and interference and their application via mechanical automation. These ideas are investigated through the construction of modular robotic devices which are combined to form generative sound installations, which are in turn used as the basis for musical compositions. Since 2002 he has also been managing a small record label called ADAADAT.

KEVIN QUIGLEY
Is an artist/curator who’s main interest is exploring and expanding on esoteric culture within art making. Focused on asking questions on archaic ‘occult’ ideas and remoulding them into new strains of thinking for the present  to produce discussion in modern living and being and working in a range of cross disciplinary medium from sound, drawing, print and installation.
Currently he has developed two musical collectives:
TUATHA (Irish roots, free form, spoken word, free noise)
TUATHA debut release

No.5. THE SLEEPER: THE DREAM THEATRE
Thursday 28th May 2020

THE DREAM THEATRE
Let’s talk about liminal dreaming.
What happens at the edges of sleep?
Patterns form – Images emerge – Conversations start.
Now we are swimming in the viscosity of sleep!
Our Consciousness is fully awake.
Or as Jung would have said our imagination is active!
We are ‘Liminal dreaming’ a tool for the creative or an advance shamanic traveller,
to fully retrieve an IDEA….
… and as our SLEEPER enters his final bout of dream training –
What will he retrieve
What will he learn, something concrete, something tangable….?
And if so what will he RETAIN.

Devised by KEVIN QUIGLEY
Written by JOHNY BROWN and WARREN CONLON
Performed by WARREN CONLON & LEON CONLON
remotely with JOHNY BROWN
Music by BJØRN HATLESKOG and KEVIN QUIGLEY

NOTE – only individual artist/s are performing live and recording on their own at GALLERY46 with pre recorded video and soundtracks.

LIMINALITY with GALLERY46 present a series of new works dealing with the themes of incubation, self isolation, modes of liminality, meditation, restrictions and freedoms.

In a mode of LIMINALITY we are compelled to ask questions, to mediate on how we will transverse and embrace the mystery and power of transition.
Of what has been and what will become…
Let us enter this Liminal space, collectively.
Where we are free to roam in transcendent modes.
Free to activate the imaginal.
Free to [START DREAMING] again

Limited editioned exhibition posters by the individual artists involved in the series will be available to buy. Details to follow.
