Matt Kelly was born in London in 1993. He emigrated to Australia shortly before the turn of the century, growing up in rural Sydney until his return to London in 2013 where he remains based.
Matt’s career in photography started at a respected London studio, progressing to an equipment technician, a photo-assistant and finally ~3 years as a 1st photo-assistant where he worked around the world with top brands, clients and magazines including Gucci, Supreme, Nike, Visa, iD and Vogue.
Along with an excellent technical knowledge of photography, Matts edge comes from an intuitive style; a natural attraction to action, an instinct for visual storytelling and a desire to record cultural and historical moments in photographs.
Matt’s work has been published by iD, Rolling Stone, The Face, BBC, VICE, and The Daily Mail.
He self-published his first photo book Fine Dining 2099 in 2020.
